Words, Markets & Culture
Life in three languages, three countries, one heart.
Welcome to my little corner — where business meets real life.
You probably know me as the translator who helps people break through language barriers. But behind the scenes, I’m simply Magdalena — a woman who has spent years dividing her life between Poland, France, and the Canary Islands.
This is not where I write about my services. This is where I share what truly matters.
Five Themes. One Life.
Life Between Three Countries
What is it like to live in three places at once? How does coffee taste in Warsaw, in a Provençal café, and on a Canary beach at dawn? Where is home when your heart stretches across half of Europe?I write about what I’ve seen, what I’ve learned, and what I want to share with you.
Culture, People & Differences
The French speak differently from the Spanish. The Spanish live differently from the Poles. And sometimes those differences are funny, sometimes enlightening, sometimes surprising.I’ll tell you why in France you never call after 8 pm, why lunch in the Canary Islands happens at 3 pm, and why back in Poland I still can’t get away with skipping Sunday chicken broth.
Language as a Key to the World
After 20 years of working with language, I’ve learned one thing: language is not just words. It’s a way of thinking, feeling, and understanding the world.I’ll share stories that show how language shifts perspective — sometimes with humour, sometimes with feeling, always with truth.
Business, the Human Way
Running a company across three countries is not just translations and meetings. It’s morning coffees with clients who become friends. Conversations about life between one project and the next. Lessons in humility, patience, and the understanding that business happens between people. I’ll write about what each country has taught me. The mistakes I made. The successes that arrived unexpectedly. What works in France — and what only works in Poland.
Travels, Flavours & Everyday Life
Because life is not just work. It’s also a Provençal market on a Saturday morning, a sunset over the Atlantic, the smell of fresh bread from a Polish bakery.Sometimes I’ll share a recipe for something I cooked. Sometimes a place that amazed me. Sometimes simply a moment that seemed beautiful.
Why I Write?
Because after 20 years of constant movement between countries, I have collected so many stories that it would be a shame to keep them only to myself.
Because I believe that behind every translation there is a person. Behind every contract — a dream. Behind every client email — someone’s life trying to find its shape.
Because somewhere out there is a person who is dreaming of a life abroad and is afraid to take the first step. Or someone who is already there but feels lonely in a foreign language. Or simply someone curious who likes reading real stories.
Stay a While
